Itinerary
Day 1: San Jose – Turrialba:
Early pick up in your hotel lobby to get to Turrialba Valley. We suggest a guided visit to the Guayabo National Monument, This architectural site was built by a Pre-Columbian civilization between 1000 B.C. and 1400 A.D. Guayabo is the largest and most important archeological site discovered to date in Costa Rica. This national park offers good bird watching opportunities in the middle of rain-forested setting. Overnight at the hotel of your choice (B)
Day 2: Rafting Adventure:
Early breakfast, this morning you will be joining a white water rafting trip on the Pejibaye River. Let the adrenaline flow while you experience these moderate rapids on a class II – III River, along the rapids you will pass through the tropical forest and meadow lands. There will be a chance to do some bird watching and bathing on the calm pools. Afternoon at leisure to relax or enjoy an optional tour (at an additional cost) overnight at the hotel of your choice (B) (L)
Day 3: Natural History Lecture and departure:
After an early breakfast, we will pick you up in your hotel lobby to get back to San Jose. End of our services or select another destination... (B)
