Playa Nancite-Bahía Salinas

Playa Nancite is part of the Guanacaste Conservation Area and lies within the Santa Rosa National Park, north of Guanacaste.
This is a desert beach with clear sand and sparkling water. It is world renowned as one of the main sites for nesting turtles Baula, Lora and Green, arriving in large numbers during the months of August to December (about 175,000 turtles a year!).

Therefore, access is limited in Playa Nancite, only 30 people per day fitted with a special permit granted by the Department of National Parks. The beach is home to Nancite Biological Station, which has very rustic accommodations only for researchers and students.
