Itinerary

Day 1 - San José

Arrive San José, welcome at the airport by your driver and transfer to the charming hotel in the mountains of Alajuela, welcome cocktail. Overnight at San Jose
 
Day 2 - San José
Breakfast and day off to enjoy hotel facilities.
You can also take an optional excursion to Poas Volcano or the City Tour of San Jose. Overnight at hotel
 
Day 3 - Pacuare
2h trip to Operations Center plus 2h by rafting to Rios Tropicales Lodge.
Very early breakfast and then departure to Siquirres (El Cairo village). Arrival at the Operations Center around 9:00 am. Change of clothes (luggage storage at the center of operations, may lead to lodge only 26.46 pounds each). At 9:30 am departure by bus to the entrance of the river for the rafting adventure. Arrival, lunch and accommodation at the lodge. In the afternoon you can take a hike to the falls.
Dinner at the lodge.
 
Day 4 Day at the Pacuare
All inclusive. As an option you may make canopy, a massage, or a ride. Overnight at the all inclusive hotel.
 
Day 5 San José Pacuare
Breakfast then departure around 10 am. Rafting Departure from the lodge (3 hours rafting) lunch on the road (River Lunch) arrival to Siquirres around 2:00 pm. Shower, change clothes and return by bus to San Jose to go to your charming hotel in Santa Ana, just off the chic area of Escazu. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 6 San Jose / Peninsula de Osa
1 hour flight to Palmar South + 30 min by A/C bus to Sierpe and 1h30 from Sierpe to Corcovado by boat.
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight. Arrival to Palmar Sur and transfer by bus to the Sierpe’s pier. There, a boat from the lodge will be waiting for you and then board a motorized canoe will take you through the canals until the Pacific Ocean along the coast of the peninsula. Arrive at the lodge around noon, lunch and hike through the trails.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 7 Corcovado National Park
After breakfast you will visit this Park, that cover a big part of the Osa Peninsula. Corcovado National Park protects a total of 134672 acres (54,500 hectares) of land and 6177 acres (2,500 hectares) of sea. It is considered by many as the jewel of the country. After being cleared to their protection in 1975 and fought for the gold seekers in 1985, now protects the vast surface of the Tropical Rainforests of Costa Rica. It has an extremely rich flora, which has allowed the development of an animal no less exceptional, easily visible from the trails. With 140 species of mammals, 367 species of birds, 117 species of reptiles and amphibians, a multitude of species of fish and insects, the Corcovado National Park is a paradise for lovers of flora and fauna. It is also a paradise for hikers, who find here the ideal place to make long walks through lowland rainforest. Lunch on the road then back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
 
Day 8 Caño Island
Breakfast and departure to the Caño Island Biological Reserve which is located in the Pacific Ocean, facing the Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula. It has an area of 494 acres into 6671 acres of land and at sea (200 hectares in 2,700 hectares). This island is very important from the archaeological point of view, thanks to the Indigenous Cemetery dating back to prehistoric times. Moreover, as it is a biological reserve, are home to several marine species, and of course a great variety of birds. Lunch at the site, you can use the white sandy beach of the island with the possibility of snorkeling; with some of luck while back to the lodge you can see the whales. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
 
Day 9 Osa-Manuel Antonio
Boat 1.30 + 20mn bus + 30mn flyght.
Breakfast and boarding on the boat that takes you back to Sierpe, then bus to the runway and flight to Manuel Antonio, on arrival your 4x4 will be waiting for you. Route to your charming hotel
Overnight at your hotel.
 
Day 10 Manuel Antonio National Park
Breakfast, and then visit the spectacular suggestion of Manuel Antonio National Park, which harmoniously combines sea bathing with the clear and warm Pacific waters and; hiking in the rainforest surrounded by 3 beautiful beaches of white sand. Specially designed trails allow you to reach a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach. Manuel Antonio is undoubtedly one of the most accessible places of Costa Rica, to observe wildlife, including sloths, raccoons, coatis, capuchin monkeys and squirrel monkeys (Saimiri oerstedii). Overnight in hotel.
 
Day 11: Manuel Antonio National Park / San Ramon or Bajos del Toro
Road 3h
Breakfast and then departure to the city of Puntarenas and taking the road to San Ramon. Lodging on your charming hotel in the heart of the rainforest. Overnight at hotel.
 
12 and 13 San Ramon or Bajos del Toro
Days off to enjoy the region. Optionally you can enjoy canopy, horseback riding, hanging bridges, and hikes and also take the hotel spa. Overnight in hotel
 
Day 14
San Ramon or Bajos del Toro / San Jose
Breakfast and return to San Jose.
Car drop-off at the airport and flight back to your country
