CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. is pleased to assist you in the preparation of your journey to our country. Our contact with international Wholesalers and Tour Operator generally engages the organization of services involved such as accommodations, transportation, special activities or tours such as rafting, canopy, kayaking, etc. We also offer multilingual naturalist guides, usually certified on different fields. In many cases, CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. also organizes and reserves food and beverages services for groups at special local and country restaurants. Nevertheless, CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. is only an intermediary. Trip parties are responsible to select a program or a service suitable to their capabilities and interests. In order to assist you with the appropriate itinerary we are pleased to discuss the program, and provide you with the experience granted by our professional staff. Trip parties might be responsible for their good health to accept the trip and also for preparing for the trip, studying the itinerary, for bringing the appropriate clothing, equipment and personal documentation as advised therein.
Journey Design
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. will design a customized program upon request, according to your main interest, age, health condition, season of the year, duration of trip and existing space. Once we have your approval to the final schedule, CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. will proceed with the reservations. CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. will try to book the original schedule, but it is important to notice that because of space availability, itineraries may be modified (modifications might include places to visit, hotels and order of the program).
Deposit and Balance Due
We stipulate a deposit of US$250 (two hundred and fifty US dollars) per person to be paid once the itinerary is accepted and signed by customer. Additionally, certain establishments may entail further deposits to assure space, mainly during the special season. CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. will advise you if any supplementary sum is necessary. Balance is due 45 days prior to arrival day. In the event of a reservation received 44 or less days prior to arrival date, we require full payment before hand in order to confirm your request.
Deletion and Reimbursement
Cancellations must be sent in writing at least 45 days previous to arrival. In such event, a handling fee of US$ 200.00 (two hundred US dollars) per reservation will apply, besides any hotel reservation or any other services already prepaid. The following reimbursement policies apply if you cancel your trip after setting the balance due:
- If cancellations are received 44 to 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total amount will be reimbursed.
- If cancellations are received 29 to 15 days prior to arrival, 25% of the total amount will be reimbursed.
- If cancellations are received 14 to 1 day before arrival, are considered as No Show, hence, no refund will apply.
We highly advise our customers to purchase a trip cancellation cover policy
to avoid inconveniences.
Liability
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. acts only as mediator for the customer in regard to travel, whether by road, railroad, boat, airplane, helicopter or horse and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity which may be caused either by reason of defect in any vehicle or for any reason whatsoever or through the act of default of any hotel, carrier, boat, restaurant, company or person, included on the trip, or any other circumstances beyond its direct control.
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. will not refund those who by their own will/ liability or neglect decide not to use some or any of the services included in their program and, if such changes involve any extra cost, the customer(s) should cover it.
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. has the right to modify the original itinerary due to circumstances beyond its control, as well as to exclude any participant whose conduct may cause trouble to the development of the program without any compensation or refund.
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. and or its agents can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to the delay or changes in air schedules, theft, baggage loss or damage, sickness, personal health, injuries, death, weather conditions, strikes, fires, explosions, earthquakes, floods, scourge, conditions of trails, river levels, road conditions, transportation delays, wars, accidents, chance, acts of God, force majeure or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger, as tour rates provide for provision only for the time confirmed.
Many of the activities could be physically demanding. Every passenger has the obligation to check the level of difficulty; it is the passenger’s responsibility to judge the aptness of these travel activities according to his/her physical competence and discharge CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. of any responsibility.
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. requires all participants to be covered by appropriate life, accident and medical insurance and that they are financially responsible for such expenses.
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. requires that participants planning to drive motor vehicles must obtain the CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) liability and collision insurances that is mandatory in Costa Rica. We highly recommend that they also acquire the SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance) US$7 per day that covers damages to third parties and the SDW (Supplemental Damage Waiver) US$10 per day that covers damages to the vehicle except for neglect. Both together will be US$15 and it can be obtained at the car rental office.
CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. recommends that all participants must insure their personal property from loss and theft as CREOTRAVEL S.R.L. is not responsible for any costs or losses resulting from such events.
